Elise Kova Does it Again: A Duet With a Siren Duke

I just finished A Duet with the Siren Duke last night and have SUCH a book hangover. This is my favorite Elise Kova book yet (and that’s saying something because I genuinely love them all). I really have no words. I was captivated by that perfect opening sentence hook and just devoured it from there.

I really loved everything about it. Victoria and Ilryth both have such depth and fantastic character growth. Victoria’s insecurities and personal journey of growth were so relatable to me. I loved her fierceness, loyalties, strength of conviction, and her vulnerabilities. She felt like such a real character throughout the book.

The world-building is fantastic and magical. I love that the inspiration from the Little Mermaid and Orpheus and Eurydice is noticeable while still being unique and having its own story. It was gorgeous, full of heart and healing and swoony romance. I highly recommend this one for fantasy romance fans, especially for fans of Sarah J Maas, Beck Michaels, and Susan Dennard.

Thank you so much to Elise and Book of Matches Media for providing me with an e-arc in exchange for an honest review. I can’t wait until my finished copy arrives.
