Wow oh wow, this book is a gutting, wonderful whirlwind. Please do listen to the trigger warnings listed at the beginning of this one because this is for sure DARK omegaverse.

Megan Cain’s (aka the wonderful Hannah McBride) first foray into omegaverse has everything I love to see in this genre – a strong, empathetic heroine with swoony love interests, and tense action in an exciting world. You definitely do need to be prepared for a lot of emotional trauma – there are so many parallels to the current misogyny and sexist restrictions that are happening in our own country – but trust me, it’s worth it. I couldn’t put this one down.

I am so very excited for Part 2, and that Hannah is planning more books in this world. Highly recommend it for fans of dark romance, dark omegaverse, and dark contemporary.
